Level Eight
The Atrium This is the reception area where all of the witches and wizards who work at the Ministry gather to head to work. The place has a dark wooden floor with fireplaces on each side and a blue ceiling that is inlaid with gleaming golden symbols that may be some kind of a notice board. In the Atrium there is the Fountain of Magical Brethren, and at the far end are the Security Desk and a great pair of golden gates that lead to the elevators.

Level Nine
Department of Mysteries This is the floor where all the secrets, the unknowns, and the plain spookiest of all magical things are stored. It's torch-lit, silent, black and ominous; and as you step from the corridor into a circular room with a dozen doors set all around the walls, you know something isn't quite right. The moment the door is shut, there is a rumbling and a sense of movement in the dark, and the walls rotate. A person is not meant to be able to find his or her way around in this place.

Level Ten
Courtrooms This level cannot be reached from the elevator. It is a corridor with rough stone walls and torches in brackets. There are heavy wooden doors with iron bolts and keyholes lining the passageway on each side. At the end of the hall is a grimy dark door with an immense iron lock.
